LapView (c)1992 Advance Systems All Rights Reserved.
LapView is a File Transfer and Directory Management Utility for two IBM
compatible computers connected by the Serial Port using a standard null modem
cable. LapView displays two directories side by side, one from each computer.
Scroll through the Directory listings and select files to transfer between
computers. Copy, Move, Delete, View and Print files. Sort, Switch, Create and
Remove Directories or Run an .EXE, .COM, or .BAT file on either machine, all
with a few key strokes.
INSTALL LapView
Local Computer: Copy LapView.Exe, LapView.Doc and Lv.Com to a Directory that
is in the PATH as set in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. You can now
start LapView from any Directory on the system.
Remote Computer: Copy LP.Exe and Lv.Com to a Directory that is in your PATH as
set in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. You can now start LP.Exe from
any Directory on the remote system.
The two computers must be connected together using a standard
null modem cable and Serial Ports.
START LapView: Start LP.Exe on the Remote computer. Use: LP /p p=Com Port
Example: C>LP /2 This will start LP using Com2. If /p is
omitted Com1 will be used.
Start LapView.Exe on the Local computer. Use: LapView rd ld /p
rd=Remote Drive, ld=Local Drive p=Com Port
Example: C>LapView A B /2
This will start LapView with the Directory of Drive A from the
Remote computer in the left window and the directory of drive

use Com2 for the Port on the local computer. If all command
line options are omitted, LapView will start using the current
Directories from each machine and communicate through Com1.
